My name is Abhijeet Gill, and I am proud to call Ward 9 home. I was born in Stoney Creek and have lived in Ward 9 for over a decade. This community is a part of my everyday life, from daily errands, to walks and runs, to the people and places that make this area feel like home. Ward 9 represents the best of Hamilton: a diverse and growing community made up of people from all backgrounds, surrounded by the natural beauty, green space, and farmland that make this part of the city so unique.

I am running for City Councillor to bring accessible, practical, and accountable leadership to Ward 9. My focus will be on listening to residents, staying connected to the community, and working on the issues that affect everyday life, including road conditions, property taxes, affordability, community safety, and responsible planning as our area continues to grow. I will work to be a strong voice at City Hall, keep residents informed, and approach every decision with transparency and accountability.

My background is in business, real estate, and client advocacy. I hold a Commerce degree from McMaster University, and through my professional experience, I have worked with families, homeowners, renters, and small business owners as they make major financial and life decisions. That experience has taught me the importance of listening carefully, understanding people's concerns, negotiating fairly, and finding practical solutions.

Abhijeet Gill

I was raised with values of hard work, respect, service, family, honesty, and accountability. Those values guide the way I approach people, leadership, and community. I believe a councillor should not just speak for residents, they should listen to them, be available to them, and make decisions that reflect the long-term best interests of the community.

I am not running because I believe one person has all the answers. I am running because I believe Ward 9 needs a councillor who will listen, show up, ask the right questions, and work hard to bring people together. My goal is to bring a practical, business-minded, and community-first approach to City Hall.

Ward 9 is growing, and with that growth comes both opportunity and responsibility. I am ready to work hard, represent residents with honesty and respect, and help move our community forward in a positive, practical, and accountable way.
